How are you Ivett?
God obviously has such a powerful plan for your life.
It was wonderful running into you @ the last Broward Alliance event. I have since been on another movie set that wraps this weekend.
If you haven't done so already, please don't hesitate to go to www.icabaonline.com and nominate yourself!! As a victor and no longer a victim you are certainly an inspiration to others who may have lost hope....
Hope to connect with you soon.
Love and blessings to you always,

Well it's my story too.  Same thing, different family member(s).  Forgot all about it for about 15 - 20 years and one day, it all came back and I just broke down and cried as I looked at my own kids that I lived to protect from the same thing happening to them.  Blamed my mother dearly . . . until one day I found out that God could take away all the pain and hurt and the blame I placed on others who weren't aware of the disgusting things that went on within our families and some knowingly allowed and others just too un-informed of what to look for.

I know you are a stranger and we've never even met, but when I opened that email I read my story and had a closeness (in spirit) to the author because I, too, overcame and have had many success stories since.

I applaud your survival and your accomplishments and will definitely recommend you to any venue that can get your story out there. Thank you for sharing your story with the world, in an effort to make it a better place by informing people

Through Ivetts book, "The Journey," it helped me to see that if we look deep within our hearts and ask God for his strength and guidance we can conquer all stumbling blocks with His Grace.

The Journey is a book written without sugar coating, that shows how someone can endure so many mental, physical and emotional assaults, and still persevere. It shows how you can overcome what seems so overwhelming, but is insignificant in comparison
